^Looking north from Exit 6 in the Toledo area, April 2024.
Interstate 475 wraps around the west side of the Toledo area, as an alternate to Interstate 75. It is shaped like the letter "C" on maps, and all of the highway, except for the top part of the "C", is concurrent with US Route 23. Both ends are at Interstate 75; the southern end is at Perrysburg, and the north end is just northwest of downtown Toledo. Those looking to bypass around the northeast and/or east side of downtown Toledo can use Interstate 280. Note that Interstate 475 crosses the Ohio Turnpike (Interstate 80 and 90), but there is no interchange providing access.
As with all of the Ohio Interstate pages, more information and a full exit list will come in the future. For now, enjoy this general information and a photo of the signage, in a similar fashion to how I do the state and US highway pages.
My photo of Interstate 475 signage comes from the southern extent of the diverging diamond interchange at Ohio Route 25. This interchange is marked as Exit 2, and it sits on the south side of Perrysburg. The signage depicted faces south at the southern gore point of the interchange. This photo was taken as part of the trip to northwestern Ohio and the Lake Erie Islands in October 2023. Back to the Ohio Interstates page. Back to the Ohio main page. Back to the home page.
