Ohio State Route 349 is a short circumferential route around the southeast side of Hamden. Though Ohio Route 349 is only about two miles long, it crosses the border between Vinton and Jackson Counties. The northern end is at Ohio Route 160 on the east side of Hamden. From there, Ohio Route 349 runs southerly and then southwesterly to the other end. That southern end is at Ohio Route 93 between Hamden and Wellston. Ohio Route 349 runs past Lake Alma and the Lake Alma Dam.
My photo of Ohio Route 349 shows the first trailblazer seen at the southern end of the highway. Those who turn off of Ohio Route 93 will see this reassurance marker as they turn to face northeast. This photo was taken during the comprehensive tour of southeastern Ohio's highways in March 2021. Back to Ohio Routes 300-499. Back to the Ohio main page. Back to the home page.
