Ohio State Route 169 is a short, seven-mile route in Warren and Niles, in Ohio. Since both of its ends are at US Route 422, it might be considered an alternate to US Route 422. While US Route 422 bypasses Niles to the northeast, Ohio Route 169 passes right through the core of Niles. The northwestern end in Warren is at US Route 422, and Ohio Route 169 heads southeast from there. It aims right for the center of Niles. Once it reaches the center of town, it meets Ohio Route 46 and bends directly toward the east. The east end at US Route 422, on the eastern edge of Niles, is just west of Ohio Route 11.
My photo of Ohio State Route 169 shows the first trailblazer seen at the southeastern beginning of the route. US Route 422 lay just behind me, and Ohio Route 11 lay a mile behind me as I took this photo. The aperture pointed west toward the center of Niles, Ohio. This photo was taken in April 2021, on my way home from Virginia. Back to Ohio Routes 100-199. Back to the Ohio main page. Back to the home page.
