​Ohio State Route 248 is a short east-west highway in eastern Meigs County. Its eastern end is at the unincorporated hamlet of Long Bottom, at the riverside route of Ohio Route 124.  From this point near the Ohio River, Ohio Route 248 heads westward into the hills.  After eight miles, it ends at Ohio Route 7.  This western end is in the tiny town of Chester, Ohio.
