Ohio State Route 743 is a short route in southern Clermont County, near the Ohio River. Specifically, it runs from Point Isabel to Moscow. The northeastern end in Point Isabel, a tiny inland hamlet, is at Ohio Route 222. From there, Ohio Route 743 runs southwesterly, turning westerly after crossing Ohio Route 756. The westbound course of Ohio Route 743's latter portion reaches US Route 52, the highway following northbound jog in the Ohio River. As the Ohio River flows north, so does Ohio Route 743, for a very short concurrency along US Route 52. That concurrency takes Ohio Route 743 to its final western segment, a short stub stemming into Moscow. Ohio Route 743 ends at 5th Street; this tiny final segment it just to provide a state-maintained connection to Moscow, Ohio.
My photo for Ohio Route 743 comes from the 4-way intersection with Ohio Route 756. Travelers heading eastbound on Ohio Route 756 will see this guide marker pointing out the location of the turn onto Ohio Route 743. This photo was taken during the southwestern Ohio trip of October 2018.
