Ohio State Route 304 is a ten-mile east-west route on the north side of the Youngstown area. Interstate 80 and Ohio Route 304 are always within a couple miles of each other, for as long as Ohio Route 304 runs. The western end of Ohio Route 304 is in Girard, at US Route 422. From there, Ohio Route 304 goes east for ten miles to the Pennsylvania border, where it becomes Pennsylvania Highway 318.
My photo of Ohio Route 304 signage comes from the western end in Girard, at US Route 422. The junction marker in the photo faces travelers on a northward jog in US Route 422, just north of Interstate 80. After northbound travelers on US Route 422 pass through the interchange with Interstate 80, they encounter the junction sign seen here. This photo was taken in April 2021, during a detour through the Youngstown area that I took on the way home from Virginia.
