US Route 319 runs from Wadley, in east-central, Georgia, to Apalachicola, Florida, on the Gulf Coast of the Florida panhandle. The route runs mainly in a southwestern direction, that's a bit more southerly than westerly. The northern end is at US Route 1 and Georgia Highway 78 in Wadley, Georgia, to be specific. US Route 319 passes through towns in Georgia like Dublin, Fitzgerald, Tifton, and Thomasville, plus Tallahassee in Florida. US Route 319, for its last hurrah, joins US Route 98 west at a point south of Tallahassee, so it can end at US Route 98's bridge over the Apalachicola River into Apalachicola. That's where the southern end marker for US Route 319 is posted, anyway.
The guide marker assembly shown in my photo for US Route 319 sits in Tallahassee along Florida Highway 61, just barely north of Interstate 10. This photo was taken in November 2016, on the detour east to Florida, which was part of the second Gulf Coast trip. Back to the nationwide main page. Back to the home page.
