Interstate 4 is one of the shorter Interstates, running from one side of the Florida peninsula to the other, by way of Orlando. The western end is in Tampa, at Interstate 275, right next to the city center. From there Interstate 4 heads east to Lakeland, then northeast to Orlando. In downtown Orlando, Interstate 4 bends northerly to head out of town. Finally, it bends northeasterly again to reach the Atlantic Coast in Daytona Beach. The eastern end is at Interstate 95 in Daytona Beach. Interstate 4 follows roughly the same path as US Route 92, which sort of serves as the Interstate's ancestor.
My photo for Interstate 4 comes from the Orlando area. The photo was taken on one of the many side roads to a big pile of hotels outside of the Disney Parks complex. This is just to the east of Interstate 4 along US Route 192. The signage faces south, and the aperture faces north. This photo was taken on the Florida detour that occurred as part of the second Gulf Coast trip in November 2016. US Route 192 runs east to west from right to left across this photo.
