Ohio State Route 608 runs northwest from Middlefield to near Painesville, in Geauga and Lake Counties. It passes through no towns between Middlefield and Painesville, but it serves a number of different parks and natural areas. The southern end diverts from Ohio Route 528 just south of Middlefield. Ohio Route 608 heads northwesterly overall, and its first course of action is to serve the central part of Middlefield, meeting Ohio Route 87. Ohio Route 608 continues northwestward, past Headwaters Park, the Hambden Orchard Wildlife Area, and the Girdled Road Reservation. The northwestern end occurs at a street corner outside of Jordan Creek Park, at Painesville-Ravenna Road. Painesville-Ravenna Road carries no numbered designation, but it can be used to reach Painesville proper via a turn toward the north. This northwestern terminus is a fraction of a mile south of Interstate 90.
My photo for Ohio Route 608 comes from the northwestern end at Painesville-Ravenna Road. The aperture looks northwest at an end marker for Ohio Route 608. This photo was taken in October 2022, during my grand tour of northeastern Ohio.
