Ohio Route 383 is a tiny spur south of Somerset, Ohio. Its objective is to reach St. Joseph's Priory, a historic site known as the oldest Catholic church in Ohio. The route is a mile and a half in length, stemming southerly from a point along Ohio Route 13 just southeast of Somerset. Ohio Route 383 goes south to blend into County Road 60 after its journey of mile and a half.
My photo of Ohio Route 383 signage comes from its northern end at Ohio Route 13. The aperture, and the travelers reading this sign, face west at a guide marker pointing out the turn onto Ohio Route 383's southbound side. To reach Somerset, a traveler would drive into the background for about another mile or two. This photo was taken in March 2021, as I was completing the trip around the southeastern quarter of Ohio.
