Ohio State Route 211 is a tiny connector in Dover, Ohio, that fills a gap in the state highway system. The whole situation starts with an interchange on the west side of Dover, where Interstate 77 connects with Ohio Route 39. Ohio Route 39 heads easterly through the classic diamond interchange, but it subsequently turns right onto a frontage road on the east side of Interstate 77. Ohio Route 211 begins by taking over the eastward alignment, in Ohio Route 39's wake. This alignment is Tuscarawas Street, and it curves to the southeast into Dover. Ohio Route 211 follows Tuscarawas Street until it turns northeasterly along Front Street. It only goes a few blocks down Front Street before ending at Ohio Route 800, which comes from the south to take over as the easterly designation down Front Street.
My photo for Ohio State Route 211 looks southeast as a confusing sign assembly in Dover. Tuscarawas Street, carrying Ohio Route 211, bends from easterly to southeasterly at the junction with Slingluff Street. The trailblazer shown marks the start of the southeasterly angle, but the banner is probably wrong. This photo was taken during the grand tour of the northeastern quarter of Ohio in October 2022.
