Ohio State Route 564 is a fairly short route extending southeasterly out of Caldwell, in Noble County. It is also known as Frostyville Road. The northwestern end is at Ohio Route 78 on the east side of Caldwell. From there it winds and zigzags toward the southeast, moving through the hilly countryside until it ends at Ohio Route 145. This southeastern terminus is in a rural part of southeastern Noble County.
My photo for Ohio Route 564 comes from the southeastern terminus at Ohio Route 145. The aperture looks northwest at the beginning of Ohio Route 564, and the first westbound trailblazer is included in the shot. I find it curious that Ohio Route 564 is signed east-west, when the north-south distance between the endpoints is greater than the east-west distance. This photo was taken during the grand tour of southeastern Ohio in March, 2021.
