Ohio State Route 807 is a very short route that spurs from Ohio Route 7 to a bridge carrying traffic into St. Mary's, West Virginia. The whole of this stubby route is less than a half of a mile. The end marker in the photo above shows up after the route has completed one 180-degree curve--and you're at the end marker already! The start of the route, at Ohio Route 7 in Newport, goes northwesterly, away from the Ohio River, at first. But within seconds, the route wraps toward the left around that 180-degree curve, and it brings you to the Carpenter Bridge into West Virginia. On the far end of the bridge is a T-intersection at West Virginia Highway 2 in St. Mary's.
My photo for Ohio Route 807 signage shows a junction marker seen by travelers moving northeasterly along Ohio Route 7. Note that drivers will need to make a left turn, toward the northwest, to reach Ohio Route 807, which then hooks around to the left and onto the bridge. The green sign in the background says "To West Virginia Route 2", neglecting to even mention the minuscule Ohio Route 807. This photo was taken on the grand tour of southeast Ohio in March 2021.
