Ohio State Route 186 is a very short connector northwest of Findlay, in Hancock County. The route runs south-southeasterly out of McComb to end at US Route 224. It's a nice shortcut for those traveling between McComb and Findlay. The northern end is at a 4-way intersection in McComb, where Ohio Route 613 crosses Ohio Route 235. Ohio Route 186 starts at this point and follows Ohio Route 235 for a fraction of a mile. After that fraction of a mile, Ohio Route 235 juts west as Ohio Route 186 follows the same alignment, which bends toward the south-southeast. That alignment continues to a T-intersection less than 4 miles away, at US Route 224. That's the southern endpoint of Ohio Route 186, which sits 4 miles west of Findlay.
My photo of Ohio State Route 186 shows the southbound trailblazer found at the southern split with Ohio Route 235. This split is in the southeastern outskirts of McComb. Southward travelers who missed the right turn to stay onto Ohio Route 235 will regrettably see this sign, and the ones who meant to stay on Ohio Route 186 will be delighted to see it! This photo was taken in October 2022, on the way home from the tour around northeastern Ohio. Back to Ohio Routes 100-199. Back to the Ohio main page. Back to the home page.
