Indiana State Route 4 occupies two east-west segments of roadway. The main longer segment runs from LaPorte, at Indiana Route 2, to US Route 31 at Lakeville in north-central Indiana. The other small segment runs from Indiana Route 327 at Helmer, east to Interstate 69 at Ashley, along the Steuben/DeKalb County border in northeast Indiana.
My photo of Indiana 4 is between LaPorte and Walkerton, at the northwestern end of Indiana 104. The sign assembly depicted faces southeast toward traffic on Indiana 104, reaching the endpoint. This photo comes from June, 2016.
Here are a few more photos taken along Indiana Route 4:
The westward progression of Indiana 4 is interrupted by a turn toward the northwest, or toward La Porte. Also at this point southeast of La Porte is the northwestern end of Indiana 104.
