Ohio State Route 308 is a three-mile route serving Gambier, the small town home to Kenyon College. The southern beginning of Ohio Route 308 occurs along Ohio Route 229, a few miles east of Mount Vernon. Ohio Route 308 heads eastward for a short distance into Gambier, where it turns northerly. The majority of the route stems northerly out of Gambier, where it spends a couple miles meandering up to US Route 36, where it ends. All of Ohio Route 308 is a short distance east of Mount Vernon, in Knox County, Ohio.
My photo of Ohio Route 308 shows the southern beginning and the first northbound trailblazer. This scene is what travelers see when they turn off of Ohio Route 229 onto Ohio Route 308. This photo was taken in October 2022, as I was on the way from Columbus to a long tour around the northeast quarter of Ohio. Back to Ohio Routes 300-499. Back to the Ohio main page.
