Ohio State Route 790 is a fairly short east-west route in the hills of southern Gallia County, also clipping the corner of Lawrence County. The eastern end of Ohio Route 790 is at Ohio Route 218 just north of Mercerville, or about six miles north of Crown City. From that eastern end, Ohio Route 790 heads west through the wooded hillsides. It ends at Ohio Route 775 about six miles east of Waterloo. Ohio Route 790 is very rural in nature for all of its route.
My photo for Ohio Route 790 signage shows a southbound guide marker along Ohio Route 218, where it meets Ohio Route 790. The sign here faces north so that travelers on Ohio Route 218 know where to turn if they want to reach Ohio Route 790. This is a little bit north of Mercerville, an unincorporated town. This photo was taken during the grand tour of southeast Ohio in March 2021.
