Ohio State Route 213 is a north-south highway in eastern Jefferson County. It lies a few miles west of the Ohio River, where it forms the tip of West Virginia's northern peninsula. The southern end is found a long a connector road between US Route 22 and Ohio Route 7, on the edge of Steubenville. Ohio Route 213 runs northwesterly and then northerly from there, paralleling Ohio Route 7 to the west. At Hammondsville, Ohio Route 213 juts easterly, zigzagging down the slopes into the valley. Ohio Route 213 then ends at Ohio Route 7.
My photo for Ohio State Route 213 comes from the southern end. The signage depicted faces east; in other words, the westbound travelers on the connector road will find it useful. The connector road meets Ohio Route 7 at an at-grade intersection, and it runs west to feed into US Route 22 at a partial interchange. The guide assembly shows that Ohio Route 213 begins with a turn to the right. This photo was taken in March 2021, at the northeastern corner of my southeastern Ohio trip. Back to Ohio Routes 200-299.
