Ohio State Route 711 is a short freeway connector running north-south in the Youngstown area. It connects Ohio Route 11 to other highways, hence the number. Specifically, Ohio Route 711 runs south from an interchange where Ohio Route 11 comes from the north to join Interstate 80 west. After three miles heading southward, Ohio Route 711 connects to Interstate 680, just west of downtown Youngstown. Travelers between central Youngstown and Ohio Route 11 will use Ohio Route 711 as a freeway shortcut-- but they have to use Interstate 680 as well.
My photo for Ohio Route 711 signage comes from US Route 422 where Youngstown meets Girard. The photo looks northwesterly at a sign assembly pointing drivers toward the upcoming ramp to Ohio Route 711 southbound. Travelers on US Route 422 heading northwesterly will make use of this sign's message. This photo was taken on the way home from Virginia in April 2021.
