While in Ohio, US Route 322 runs nearly due-east out of Cleveland into northwestern Pennsylvania. Like many other routes, US Route 322 gets its start at the Public Square in downtown Cleveland. It starts out on US Route 6, but it soon deviates onto East 13th Street and Chester Avenue. Chester Avenue ends at US Route 20, carried by Euclid Avenue, but US Route 322 joins US Route 20 northeast for a short spell before splitting off on Mayfield Road. US Route 322 continues easterly through Mayfield Heights and out of the Cleveland metroplex. It continues nearly due east through rural areas to the eastern edge of Ohio. US Route 322 crosses the state line bound for Jamestown, Conneaut Lake, and Meadville in Pennsylvania.
My photo of US Route 322 signage in Ohio comes from Ohio Route 7 at the eastern edge of the state of Ohio. The sign assembly depicted faces south, just south of the 4-way intersection where US Route 322 meets Ohio Route 7, the easternmost north-south highway in Ohio (in this area). This announces the upcoming junction to northbound travelers on that state highway. This photo was taken in October 2022, as I was touring around northeastern Ohio. Back to the Ohio US Highways page.
