Ohio State Route 626 is a very short route in far east-central Ohio, south of Youngstown. As Ohio Route 165 runs northwest from East Palestine past New Springfield, it suddenly deflects toward the west. The northwesterly road continues as Ohio Route 626 toward Boardman and Youngstown. Ohio Route 626 proceeds northwesterly for three and a half miles before ending at the north-south Ohio Route 7, which can carry traffic farther north into Boardman and Youngstown.
My photo for Ohio Route 626 shows a northbound trailblazer shown by those leaving Ohio Route 164. Ohio Route 626 joins Ohio Route 164 east for a short bit so it can use a bridge over the Ohio Turnpike (Interstate 76). At the end of this tiny concurrency, travelers turn back toward the northwest on Ohio Route 626, which leads them to see the scene depicted. This photo was taken in October 2022 during my tour of the northeastern quarter of Ohio.
