Indiana State Route 462 is a short spur in far southern Indiana, providing a connection to O'Bannon Woods State Park and Harrison-Crawford State Park. The spur descends south from Indiana Route 62, with Corydon to the east and Leavenworth to the west, immediately crossing the Blue River to run for three miles. After those three miles, Indiana Route 462 ends at the gate into O'Bannon Woods State Park. The entire route is in western Harrison County.
My photo for Indiana Route 462 is the guide marker helping eastbound traffic on Indiana Route 62 to find the turning point onto Route 462. As you can see, this is at the foot of a bluff in a scenic, wooden part of southernmost Indiana, along the Blue River. The Ohio River is only about another five miles away.
