Ohio State Route 587 runs northwest-southeast in Seneca County, with a very slight entry into Wyandot County. The northwestern end is in Fostoria, at Ohio Route 18. From this point, Ohio Route 587 runs straight southeasterly for about 13 miles. The only bend in the route occurs as Ohio Route 587 crosses the county line into Wyandot County, where it will only persist for another fraction of a mile. The southeastern end is in McCutchenville, at Ohio Route 53.
My photo for Ohio Route 587 shows the first southbound trailblazer, at the northern end of the route in Fostoria. Travelers turning off of Ohio Route 18 will be greeted with this signage along Ohio Route 587. This photo was taken in October 2016, during the massive detour from West Virginia north to Toledo that I took.
