Ohio State Route 255 is a fairly short route through the hills of Monroe County, in far southeastern Ohio. The route begins at Ohio Route 7 at Sardis, along the Ohio River. From this point of beginning, Ohio Route 255 heads northerly and westerly, winding through rural hillsides. After about 15 miles, Ohio Route 255 is cut off from continuing westerly by Ohio Route 800, where it ends.
My photo for Ohio State Route 255 signage shows an east-facing guide marker along Ohio Route 7 in Sardis. Ohio Route 7 curves westerly as the Ohio River bends westerly, and Ohio Route 255 gets started with a jaunt toward the north into the hills. Travelers on that westward path will use this sign to locate the right turn onto Ohio Route 255. This photo was taken during the grand tour of southeastern Ohio in March 2021.
