Ohio State Route 258 is a winding road stretching across southern Tuscarawas County. Technically speaking, it cuts into Guernsey and Harrison Counties for brief and ephemeral times; it always comes right back into Tuscarawas County. The western end is at US Route 36 on the west side of Newcomerstown. Though it starts out toward the south, it soon corrects toward the east. It winds through the hills of the rural countryside. At the hamlet of West Chester, it produces an eastward Ohio Route 342 and bends itself toward the north. The northeastern end of Ohio Route 258 occurs south of Uhrichsville, at Ohio Route 800.
My photo for Ohio State Route 258 comes from the junction with Ohio Route 342 in West Chester. Those reaching the western end of Ohio Route 342 use the guide marker in the photo to understand that Ohio Route 258 is reached by continuing onward or by turning right. This photo was taken in March 2021, as I was finishing up a trip to southeastern Ohio. Back to Ohio Routes 200-299. Back to the Ohio main page. Back to the home page.
