US Route 211 is a short east-west route in northern Virginia. The western end is in New Market, Virginia, at an interchange with Interstate 81 just blocks to the west of US Route 11. The eastern end is in Warrenton, Virginia, occurring just after passing through town. With greater specificity, the eastern end marker faces west at the corner of Blackwell Road and Lee Highway, where the business alignment of US Route 15 comes north out of downtown to turn easterly onto Lee Highway. Just beyond that endpoint to the east lies the point where the business alignments of US Route 15 and US Route 29 rejoin their main highways.
My photo for US Route 211 comes from Warrenton, the easternmost town traversed by the route. US Route 211 business alignment of US Route 17 curves from northerly to easterly on the northwest side of town; traffic rounding that curve is immediately greeted with the guide assembly depicted. US Route 17's business alignment turns northerly to join its main bypass route, while US Route 211 continues east into the photo along with Business US Route 29. The eastern end of US Route 211 is about another mile east into the background. This photo was taken as part of the Virginia trip in April, 2021. Back to the nationwide main page.
